Departments

Chapter Administration manages office logistics, equipment, supplies, resources, vendor relationships and other administrative responsibilities in support of the chapter.

College Student Services administers college student programs and events that promote student success, coordinates transition of high school students to college student services, recruit new students and partners with area colleges and universities to achieve common goals.

Community Outreach establishes and maintains relationships with community, religious institutions, professional associations, state/municipal entities and recruits new members. Community Outreach is also responsible for budget and selection of non-profit organizations for chapter investment.

Grants and Funding coordinates the pursuit of grants with BETF and other sources. This department is also responsible for submission of two grants per quarter in support of student services.

High School Student Services develops, trains and mentors the High School Computer Competition (HSCC) Team. High School Student Services is responsible for student recruitment, HSCC Program administration, development of programs that promote student success, and partnership with school districts to achieve common goals.

Information Technology develops and introduces emerging technology to enable the chapter to run efficiently. Information Technology is responsible for partnering with department heads to develop applications and tools in support of chapter meetings/events, department programs and services as well as automated processes, including content management for chapter website.

Marketing partners with the executive team and department heads towards the coordination and promotion of all chapter events and activities, as well as development and communication of the Chicago Chapter Brand. Marketing is responsible for development and delivery of all internal and external chapter communications.

Membership Services recruits new members, retains existing members and works with the National Vice President of Membership Management to ensure membership records are current and reconciled.

Professional Services drives the formation of certification study groups, special interest groups, works with education institutions and training delivery companies to secure BDPA training discounts, develops reports to discuss trends in the industry and develops executive mentorship program.

Program Meetings recruits guest speakers, organizes & hosts monthly membership meetings.
