Our web-based communications provide opportunities to post technical or business questions, and get assistance from industry experts. Corporate Diversity programs look first to organizations
like BDPA to meet hiring and staffing needs. IT professionals also have access to a wealth of career advancement including online resume resources and access to job postings, BDPA career coaches, career fairs, and professional workshops and seminars. Members also gain an abundance of leadership development opportunities through mentorship and active participation in a chapter leadership role.
Community Service
BDPA is leveraged by it’s Corporate Sponsors and members as a means to serve in the community. BDPA hosts several local and national community service events and activities including pre-college outreach and professional training.
Student Membership
BDPA Chicago provides an abundance of learning and mentorship opportunities to it’s Student Membership including the opportunity to participate in the regional and national High School Computer Competition, scholarships, student empower - ment activities, internships and life-long mentors!
Entrepreneur and Small Business Members
BDPA highlights the outstanding achievement, products and services of our entrepreneurial members. Our concentration of IT will offer prospective small business owners: entrepreneur workshops, conferences, and networking. These tremendous opportunities within one group are not accessible elsewhere.
Early Exposure to Emerging Technologies
BDPA attracts as a source of public exposure, the new and innovative technologies that will shape the future of information Technology, BDPA offers you direct interaction with the technologies that are making a difference. BDPA is a great source of knowledge related to the African American community and its bridge to IT. Both the monthly publications and website provide key information and resources that will assist interested professionals in this field and acquaintances.
